Rue Bonaparte
Traditional yet forward-thinking, gastronomic, creative, historic, friendly, inspiring; le petit Marais of Nice is fast living up to the reputation of its big sister in Paris. Rue Bonaparte, the centre of all things hip is just around the corner, offering restaurants, vintage shops, fresh produce and lively bars. It’s a 400m stroll to the quayside to see the small fishing boats, yachts and ferries setting sail to Corsica.
The Port
The Port neighbourhood is great for antiques browsing with a flea market, galleries, a modern art museum and antique shops. For more sporty types the Club Nautique offers sailing lessons and rents equipment and there are great spots for snorkelling along the rocky coastline of Coco Beach. Join the locals here before breakfast for a refreshing swim or just to chat.
Nissa la Bella allows you to unwind after a busy day and the port area offers some of the best sunsets!
The imminent arrival of the tram that will run from the airport to the port in 26 minutes has already stimulated new investment from restaurant and hotel owners.
